E-learning module "Linux Basics"
Before You Start
Hello, "Linux Basics" introduces you to Linux as you need it for your daily work on the bwUniCluster and the bwForClusters. It is composed for beginners as well as for more advanced users. Beginners may enjoy the chapter Hints and First Steps. This e-learning course is based on the "Introductory course bwHPC-C5 - Linux basics" held by Rafael Doros and Rainer Keller (Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart). You can find the slides in German of a similar course "Einführungskurs bwHPC-C5 - Grundlagen Linux Shell-Programmierung" here. Finally, a few words about the notation used throughout this e-learning course: Code and commands are marked in this way. $ is the prompt of the interactive shell.
